Love for photographing the great outdoors - nature, wildlife, people, cultures and spaces - has inspired me to embark on a journey, creating detailed customised Photo safaris.
I have traveled extensively in India & abroad, almost exclusively with my camera. My years of travel have helped me gather a wealth of knowledge and experience. My own little eccentricities have also fuelled my learning.
The thought of creating Photosafaris occurred to me in 1999. During my backpacking days. After travelling so much I kept thinking how to create a work module that would allow me to travel & share my knowledge & experiences with like minded people. The thought remained nascent till about 2004 when I started doing recces around India with the aim of creating customised itineraries which would be ideal for photography. These were specifically designed keeping the avid travel photographer in mind. The season, time of day, lighting conditions etc, were all taken into account, to ensure the best conditions for photography. After over 5 years of extensive travel and research, I conducted my first Photosafari in 2009. Slowly but steadily its kept growing. I began conducting photosafaris in India. I took a group of students for my first photosafari to Kutch. From then on I have conducted Photosafaris in Arunachal Pradesh, Bandhavgarh, Bandipur, Gir National Park, Halibed Belur, Junagarh, Khajuraho, Kanha, Kaziranga National Park, Khijadia Bird Sanctury, Marine National Park (Jamnagar), Shraavan Belgola. From 2013 I started doing international trips starting with Africa- Kenya, Tanzania & Namibia after which I conducted a photosafari in Bhutan.Now I’m expanding for you to explore more of our beautiful planet with Photosafaris lined up for Turkey, Kamchatka, Egypt, Papua New Guinea, just to name a few. I can also design a tailor-made photographic safari according to your specific requests and requirements!

Ok guys, here's a secret, just between you and me and those present in cyber space. I'm a little in love with Himanshu. That I'm a grandmother has no bearing here. And It's not love at first sight. I've been on three of his safaris and have watched him up close. You'll never meet a man so meticulous in planning and execution, with the patience of Job (he answered all my beginner level questions with such calm), his expertise on photography cannot be questioned. I'm slowly getting to be a groupie- I have booked myself on his Tanzania trip in Feb 2018! And if I might say so myself, I'm definitely a better photographer now than before I met him. So, my advice is come join Himanshu and experience travel and photography in a totally different way.

Himanshuu's Photosafari is a great way to travel and indulge your passion for all things 'Nature'. Even if you're not a photographer, Himanshuu Sheth Photosafaris ensures you have a truly special outdoors experience. Carefully curated, Himanshuu reccees and researches each location thoroughly before he takes you on a trip. I traveled with him to Masai Mara and Kanha National Park. Both trips were excellently organised and Himanshuu's cheerful and friendly presence ensured everything went smoothly and everybody had fun. What sets HS Photosafaris apart is that Himanshuu himself travels with all groups. He has a pre trip orientation session, where co travellers meet each other, he tells you what to take with you on the trip... clothes, cameras etc. During the trip he's on hand to teach you the finer points of photography, should you require his help. If not, you can sit back and enjoy your nature tour without worrying about anything. Himanshuu picks locations and includes experiences that aren't provided by other travel organisers. I would definitely travel with HSP to any outdoor location, confident that he has done everything possible to ensure great wildlife sightings. Now if the tigers don't show up that's not Himanshuu's fault !

All I can say is that one workshop with Himanshuu has contributed to my interest in the world of photography. We travel a lot; but the photo safari my husband and I took to Masai Mara in 2015 was one of our most memorable trips. We had met Himanshuu only once before signing up for the trip. The comfort and trust he gained from us was only in that one meeting. We knew no one in the group we were traveling with and were hoping the next 5-6 days would be smooth. Forget just smooth - they were totally spectacular! The migration of the wildebeest and the zebra across the Mara are sights we were fortunate to witness several times. Efforts were taken to experience Masai Mara from several spots. To add to it, the comfortable stay and crazy camaraderie with co travelers made it one of the best holidays we had so far. Ps. I still gush about that trip to others. My what's app DP is often an image taken on that trip. Some feelings are there to stay.

After 8/10 days on safari, and staying in some of what I consider the most beautiful locations I have ever been, it has been an incredible experience. The camps chosen for us could not have been better in any way. My understanding of both camera as well as animal behaviour, from start to finish, was incredibly improved. Himanshuu was able to take my photography to the next level in more ways than I can express.
